Doha, Qatar, August 8, 2020: Mall of Qatar hosted media representatives from Qatar for a real shopping and dining experience within precautionary and safety measures as per the instructions of the relevant authorities in Qatar.
The media were escorted by the Mall management on a ground tour in the mall premises and were introduced to the precautionary measures taken by the Mall, starting from the entrance, while moving around, during dining till their leave. The group followed the safety instructions, including wearing the mask, ensuring social distance, and regularly sanitizing the hands.
In appreciation of their effort, the Mall hosted the media in a lunch with the mannequins, the latest initiative the Mall launched during Eid Al-Adha and with the start of phase 3 of gradual lift of restrictions on COVID-19. With restaurants and Cafes in the Mall receiving diners in their premises with limited capacity and safety standards that secure protection, visitors can now enjoy a creative dining experience with dressed mannequins in the restaurants and cafes to add excitement and ensure safe distance creatively.
Mall of Qatar is committed to offering a safe and comfortable experience through following precautionary measures to safeguard the visitors. Those measures include enhanced hygiene and cleaning protocols, state-of-the-art thermal cams at all entrances, showcase the green code on the Ehteraz app on mobiles, more than 70 hand sanitation stations throughout the mall, and eighty handrail UV Sanitizers to regularly sanitize the handrails of the escalators and protect customers while moving in the mall.
Mall of Qatar extends its warm appreciation to the ministries and authorities who are playing a major role in tackling COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, especially Ministry of Interior, Ministry pf Public Health, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, and Qatar Red Crescent whose volunteers are in the Mall to provide support and assistance.
